Greetings fellow Disney lovers! It’s been too long since I last wrote a blog post. So let’s get back into the swing of things with another one of my favorite things.
We all know that Disney goes all out for Halloween and Christmas. But I love that they make a special effort to celebrate other holidays as well. In January they celebrated Dia De Reyes, or (Three) Kings Day which you can read about by clicking on the link.
This celebration only lasted a weekend and was contained in a small area, but it was beautifully put together.
Also in January, they celebrated the Lunar New Year. The event took place in the small world pavilion. It was truly a beautiful site to behold.
Rumor has it there are Valentine’s touches sprinkled throughout the Park as well. Hopefully we’ll be able to get out there and see it for ourselves this weekend.
The next celebration Disney has planned is One More Disney Day. If you haven’t heard already (which I really doubt is possible) Walt Disney World and Disneyland Parks will be opening their doors at 6 a.m. on Feb 29 for 24 hours. Have you ever craved a Disney churro or popcorn at 2 a.m.? This is your chance! Have you wanted to ride Big Thunder at 3 a.m.? The time has come!
Will the Disney Day Trippers be there? I probably won’t be since it’s a weekday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Jason goes, at least for a while. I’m not a night owl so I imagine I’d be over it by 10 p.m. Party pooper, I know. Will you be there? Shout out in the comments!
Once that’s over, it’s on to the New Orleans Bayou Bash which will run from February 11 until March 1. However it will not be a daily event so click the link to check specific dates.
So there you have it. I love that just because a holiday isn’t one of the bigger holidays, it still gets the Disney treatment.
